1. What is a futon? How does it differ from a sleeper sofa?

A futon is a versatile sofa that converts easily into a bed. Because a futon only has to fold once, it allows for a thicker and more comfortable mattress than a sleeper sofa. A futon also takes less space than a sleeper sofa and can be moved more easily.
Futons have become much more than college dorm furniture. The mattresses we carry at The Futon Store are much thicker and nicer than others, so that you do not have to worry about creases or feeling the bars through the mattress.

Assembly is usually a simple process that can takes on average between 30 minutes to an hour. Each frame includes all hardware, tools and instructions for assembly. We also offer delivery in which we assemble your frame on site, or for a small fee frames can be assembled at our warehouse.

Futon covers are your chance to decorate. You are able to select from our extensive collection. The covers are removable for cleaning and quick decor changes. A futon cover is to a futon mattress as a sheet is to a bed mattress

Our platform beds are streamline and work on a European slat system that gives excellent support without requiring a foundation/ box springs. Some beds will take a low profile foundation with a thinner mattress.

No. The Futon Store does not carry klick-klack sofas because they do not have the versatility of a futon. A klick-klack sofa does not have the ability to change mattresses or covers. Because of the mechanism used in a klick-klack sofa, a metal bar can be felt down the center and is uncomfortable.
No. Futon covers are made for futon mattresses. They will not fit any regular sofa or sleeper sofa.
